SRC Selected as Winner in U.S. Army xTech|Live Competition at eMerge Americas 2026
Syracuse, NY – SRC Inc., a global, not-for-profit, defense research and development company, today announced it has been selected as one of six winners in the U.S. Army's xTech|Live competition, held during the eMerge Americas 2026 Conference and Expo in Miami, Florida.
Hosted by the Army FUZE xTech Program in partnership with the Joint Innovation Outpost and the 101st Airborne Division, the competition connects emerging technology innovators directly with Army operators, technical experts and acquisition leaders who are seeking rapid, operationally relevant solutions for the battlefield.
SRC was recognized for an innovation within its Silent Impact system—a high‑altitude, modular payload architecture engineered to deliver scalable, non‑kinetic electronic warfare effects from the stratosphere. When combined with Army platforms at stratospheric altitudes, Silent Impact provides the warfighter with persistent, long-range electromagnetic effects deep into contested and denied environments where traditional capabilities face significant access limitations.
"This recognition reflects SRC's continued focus on delivering innovative, mission-relevant capabilities that align with the Army's evolving operational needs," said Kevin Hair, president and CEO of SRC. "Our Silent Impact family of systems are rooted in decades of experience in electronic warfare and small form factor systems, and we are excited about its potential to provide scalable, non-kinetic effects in support of distributed operations."

The Silent Impact programs build upon SRC's broader work in small form factor payloads and electronic warfare technologies designed to extend sensing and effects into contested environments. These types of capabilities are increasingly critical as the Army seeks adaptable, rapidly deployable solutions that enhance situational awareness and operational flexibility across multi-domain operations.
As a next step in the xTech|Live competition process, SRC will showcase Silent Impact to the 101st Airborne Division and DoW stakeholders later this month as part of the "Week of the Eagles" at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in preparation for future Army experimentation events.
The Army FUZE xTech Program was designed to identify and accelerate dual-use technologies that can enhance soldier readiness and mission effectiveness, providing a pathway for innovative companies to engage directly with Army stakeholders and transition capabilities into operational use.
This award selection highlights SRC's role in advancing next-generation electronic warfare and non-kinetic capabilities aligned with emerging Army requirements.
