SRC Announces 2026 CNY STEM Scholarship Recipients

Syracuse, NY – SRC Inc., a global, not-for-profit, defense research and development company, today announced its 2026 CNY STEM Scholars, who were recognized at the Talent Development Awards hosted by MACNY and Partners for Education & Business, Inc. on June 16 at the Museum of Science & Technology.

Three local high school seniors have been awarded $20,000 scholarships from SRC along with a paid internship opportunity at SRC.

Meet SRC’s 2026 CNY STEM Scholars:

  • Ian Cosgrove – a senior at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. He will enroll at Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Kayla Maloney-Hahn – a senior at Cazenovia High School. She will enroll at Cornell University in the fall to pursue a degree in electrical and computer engineering.
  • Katherine Reed – a senior at West Genesee High School. She will enroll at Notre Dame University in the fall to pursue a degree in electrical engineering.

"At SRC, supporting the next generation of engineers and scientists remains an important part of building a strong STEM workforce in Central New York,” said Kevin Hair, president and CEO of SRC. “Each of these students has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and a passion for innovation. SRC is proud to support their educational and professional journeys."

The CNY STEM Scholarship Program, created by SRC in collaboration with Partners for Education & Business, Inc. and the CNY STEM Hub, supports Central New York students pursuing higher education in STEM fields. The program provides financial assistance along with hands-on experience through internships. Partners for Education & Business, Inc., an affiliate of MACNY, administers the program.
