SRC Board of Trustees Names Dempsey New Chair and Boynton Vice Chair

Syracuse, NY – Joan Dempsey has been named the new chairperson of SRC’s Board of Trustees, succeeding Joseph Corasanti, Esq, who remains a board member. In addition, the board has elected Kimberly Boynton as the new vice chairperson.

Dempsey has been a member of the SRC Board of Trustees for eight years. She was formerly the executive vice president for Booz Allen Hamilton’s defense intelligence group, managing day-to-day operations of the firm's largest market-facing organization. Dempsey had a long career in the federal government with two presidential appointments. First, in the Clinton administration, she served as deputy director of Central Intelligence and Security, and in the Bush administration, she served as executive director of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. Dempsey also has 17 years of experience as a senior civilian in the defense department.

Boynton has been a member of the SRC Board of Trustees for seven years, most recently serving as chair of the Audit Committee. Boynton is a licensed real estate agent for Pyramid Brokerage Company and the former president and chief executive officer of Crouse Health. Prior to that role, she served as chief financial officer. Boynton has a background in public accounting, finance, management and extensive board experience. She has demonstrated leadership in culture, diversity and inclusion, risk management, facilities, materials, strategic and succession planning.
