December 10, 2021

Syracuse, NY – Rep. John Katko (R, NY-24) commemorated the 15th anniversary of the opening of SRCTec, LLC by entering a statement of recognition into the Congressional Record, which is the document reflecting the official proceedings of Congress.

October 2021 marked the 15th anniversary of the opening of SRCTec. A subsidiary of SRC, Inc., SRCTec is a manufacturing and life cycle management company. Together with SRC, they support the Department of Defense and agencies such as the Department of Homeland Defense, with solutions utilizing the companies' counter unmanned aircraft system technology, counterfire radars, air surveillance radars, counter-IED systems and ground surveillance radars.

On November 23rd, Rep. Katko toured the SRCTec facility in North Syracuse, focusing on the enterprise's capabilities in support of homeland security, including border security technologies. Following the tour, Rep. Katko presented SRCTec's General Manager, Tony Stewart, and SRC's President and CEO, Kevin Hair, with the Congressional Record Submission.

"On SRCTec's 15th anniversary, I am pleased to recognize, through a Congressional Record submission, their commitment to national security and protecting our way of life with innovative border protection technologies," said Rep. Katko, as he delivered a special citation from the Congressional Record to Stewart. "The security of our borders, especially the Southern border, has never been more dire, and it is rewarding to me that we can help secure the borders with technology being developed and manufactured right here in Central New York."

"It's an honor for SRCTec to be recognized by Rep. Katko as part of the Congressional Record," said Kevin Hair. "Together with SRC, SRCTec is committed to helping keep America and its allies safe and strong for years to come."
