Counterfire / Weapon Location Radars

Counterfire and Weapon Location Radar

SRC has a long history of developing counterfire target acquisition radars that can predict the points of origin and points of impact of hostile ballistic threats.

Our systems are able to accurately determine the POO and POI of a threat and identify the class and type of the munitions. These capabilities are used to trigger highly reliable threat warning messages, either to standalone displays or network-based battle management systems.

  • AESA50 Multi-Mission Radar
A multi-mission radar capable of simultaneously performing air surveillance and counterfire target acquisition missions while stationary or on-the-move.
  • AN/TPQ-53 (formerly the EQ-36) Signal Data Processor
SRC is the designer and producer of the AN/TPQ-53 signal data processor. This compact, FPGA based, conduction cooled processor meets MIL-STD environmental and EMI specs and draws upon our long history of counterfire DSP design. Learn more about our signal processing capabilities.
  • LCMR Counterfire Radars
The multi-mission capable AN/TPQ-49 and AN/TPQ-50 counterfire radars perform early warning in indirect fire, counterfire target acquisition and air surveillance modes.
  • MMR Multi-Mission Radar
A flexible, transportable tactical radar system built for mobile forces. Performs a broad spectrum of missions from a single platform, including air traffic control, air defense, counterfire and fire control.
  • Omni-Directional Weapon Locating Radar
One of the most advanced radars of its kind, OWL provides surveillance over a hemispherical coverage volume, detecting and tracking air targets while simultaneously meeting counter-fire mission demands.
