SRC scientists perform chemical and site-specific risk assessments for U.S. EPA under a variety of programs. We also support EPA in developing guidance, tools and training programs to support risk assessment programs.
- Human Health Risk Assessment
SRC toxicologists and environmental chemists support U.S. EPA in developing national guidance for human health risk assessment. We also perform site-specific assessments of human health risk at hazardous waste sites.
- Ecological Risk Assessment
We perform ecological risk assessments for U.S. EPA to support chemical regulation, identification of safer chemical alternatives, and to determine the need for and extent of cleanup at Superfund and similar hazardous waste sites.
- Bioavailability Assessment
SRC supports development of U.S. EPA guidance on bioavailability, and performs oral and dermal assessments on the bioavailability of metals and metalloids, including lead and arsenic.
